Originating from Scotland, growing up in Australia and completing her Masters in Acting at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School left Kaiya with a unique natural accent but also tuned her ears and tongue to a diverse vocal range.

Kaiya has an energised, youthful voice, capable of sounding much younger than her age. She is also known for her uncanny bark.

Kaiya has recently narrated Helena Fox's The Quiet and the Loud for Bolinda Audio. Other narration includes; Elizabeth Reeder's An Archive of Happiness, Aiki Flinthart's Blackbirds Sing and Storylight Podcast's Anne of Green Gables. Kaiya has established a home studio and is capable of recording raw tracks from her base in Melbourne.

On the creative side of things, Kaiya is writing a cinematic audio for families with her creative partner and fellow award-winning audiobook narrator, Gail Shalan.
